A man accused of beating a pregnant woman to death last February is scheduled to appear in court this morning.

28-year-old Walter Williams is set for a preliminary hearing today at 9 a.m.

Williams is accused of murdering 21-year-old Tovoyia Owens back on February 7th.

Investigators say that she was kicked and punched during a fight outside of traffic court. She was taken to the hospital where she later died of blunt impact trauma to the neck. She was 4-months pregnant.

Williams is charged with murder. Investigators say that a feud between Williams and Owens’ brother is what led to the attack.

29-year-old Robert Canada was also arrested for his alleged role in Owens’ death. He is charged with aggravated and simple assault.
