The Florida man who was caught on camera allegedly relieved himself on packages of cough drops inside a Sanford Walgreens has been arrested, police said.
Larry Donell White, Jr., 22, is facing property damage and criminal mischief charges following his arrest Thursday, according to a Sanford Police report.
Police say White damaged over $300 worth of cough drops in the April 21 incident at Walgreens. A store tape allegedly caught White on camera unzipping his pants in the middle of the aisle and going to the bathroom all over the packages.
A clerk who later went to stock the shelves in the area noticed a strong smell of urine.
After the story aired in numerous news reports, police say they received a tip that led them to White. During an interview with detectives, White denied relieving himself on the cough drops but said he’d been to several Walgreens in the past.
White was booked into jail and was being held on $550 bond early Friday.
