A Hartford teen is being held on $1 million bond in connection with the shooting death of a 74-year-old man outside a market in Hartford, police said.

Charles Wilson, 18, was arrested around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said Wilson was trespassing in an area known as a hot spot for crime and ran when police saw him.

They took him into custody on Farmington Avenue after a brief chase and confessed to pulling the trigger outside the Hot Corner Market on Albany Avenue in the North End of Hartford on May 30, police said.
