A woman from Greensboro, North Carolina has been charged with identity theft. JoAnne Foster, 57, was charged by the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office for the crime earlier this week.

The scheme ended in late December, when James Snipes told police his grandson,Teddie Bishop’s, personal information had been used. According to police warrants, Foster received $2,628 in food stamp benefits from the Alamance County Department of Social Services.

Foster was placed in county jail on a $2,000 bond.
