An early morning house fire in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood killed a 2-month-old girl, fire officials said.

Tiniya Coleman was found in a first-floor bedroom of 831 N. Laramie Ave. Firefighters responded to the fire around 2 a.m. and immediately found the little girl, District Chief Timothy Sampey said.

NBC Chicago: 80 ‘deadbeat dads’ arrested

Tiniya died on the scene and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, Sampey said.

The fire was quickly struck out. Flames were mostly contained to the first floor, where the fire likely started. There was some minor damage to a neighboring house.
