From News One:

A few weeks ago a story broke a 13-year-old black whiz girl admission to the University of Connecticut was rescinded — reported in the New York Daily News. But the story might be fiction.

Autum Ashante’s father called for justice on his daughter admission being revoked, but a University of Connecticut spokesman said the Ashante was never accepted to the university.

Richard Veilleux said he never told a New York Daily News reporter Ashante was ever accepted into the university.

“She applied, and her application was denied. It was not accepted. Nothing was ‘rescinded,’” Kirk wrote in an email to NewsOne.
