After he made national headlines Friday night by bombing at Alonzo Mourning’s Summer Groove charity comedy event, comedian Dave Chappelle appeared at the Summer Grove gala Saturday night and poked a little fun at himself.

His ten-minute outing was “well received,” reported a media member present, and consisted of a little self-effacing humor, praise for Mourning, and two funny stories about run-ins with headliner Alicia Keys.

Chappelle also apologized for his “bad attitude,” introduced performer Cee-lo Green, and — this time — got off the stage on time.

“The second [was] try better than the first,” tweeted Miami.com. “No hecklers and Dave Chappelle doing well…time to call it a comeback.”
