DEKALB COUNTY, Ga.— Dekalb County officials are investigating the senior administrator under whose watch Bishop Eddie Long’s daughter Taylor Long almost graduated with a what the state deemed to be a defunct credit. The credit in question came from a class connected with her father’s church, and was labeled inappropriate for official credit because it was taken at a place dedicated to religious-based education.

An anonymous tip on the night before graduation informed Superintendent Raymona Tyson that Long did not have the credits necessary to walk with her classmates. Tyson ordered an investigation to see if the credit was valid, but the Department of Education immediatly replied that it could not be used towards graduation

Action News Atlanta reports that the Long family issued a statement saying they were proud of their daughter, and that she was finishing her credit over the summer. They made no reference to dispute or the investigation of the school official under which the incident occurred.
