A trip to Agogo, Ghana changed the lives of seven Broward and Miami-Dade people.

Under the leadership of Nathan Burrell, CEO of the Honey Project, the students went to Africa to make a difference in other young peoples lives.

NBC Miami: Viewing Held for Miramar Football Player

The group left July 19 and stayed for 12 days, mentoring other young adults on a continent on the other side of the world. It’s the group’s second mission trip.

One of the students, University of Central Florida student Dominique Key, said her favorite part was working with the kids.

“Even though they don’t have much, they’re still so happy,” the 20-year-old said.
