Herman Cain apologized for his recent remarks about Muslim Americans regarding banning Islamic mosques to prevent injecting sharia law into the U.S.

Now Cain had to respond to remarks he made — saying Americans might be uncomfortable with Mitt Romney because of Mormon religion.

According to Cain, he was not trying to offend anyone. He is quoted below:

“I did make that statement and it does not bother me,” Cain said of Romney’s faith. “But because I live in Atlanta, Ga. — I have been back in my hometown for 10 years — I listen to what people say. What they basically say is they are not clear on how does the Mormon religion relate to the majority of people’s Protestant, Christian religion in the South.”

He also said, “It was not a dispersion whatsoever on his religion. I was simply saying what others have told me about not being real clear in understanding his religion.”
