Marietta, Ga.- A Smyrna man and Marietta woman charged with the fatal hit and run of 31-year-old Emanuel R. Mitchell will remain behind bars.
Brandon M. Weston and Pamela K. Rice have both been denied bond.
Weston and Rice are accused of fleeing the scene after knocking Mitchell’s off his motorcycle. Mitchell’s, immediately struck by a Mazda 3, died on the scene.
The Mazda driver, identified as 23-year-old Sonni Smith was not injured and is not expected to face charges.
The duo share charges of Homicide, Hit and Run, and Tampering with Evidence.
Weston, 32 has also been charged with Failure to Maintain Lane, No Insurance, and Failure to Register Vehicle.
The two were arrested after the car was discovered in a body shop.
