Expect to feel plenty of love, peace and soul on Labor Day Monday when a summer-long celebration of “Soul Train” culminates with a concert at Millenium Park.
The concert celebrates the 40th anniversary of the show, which started in Chicago in 1970 before moving to Los Angeles to begin syndication.
The host and originator of the show, Don Cornelius, will make two rare appearances over the weekend. On Sunday, he will participate in a Q&A following the screening of “Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America” at the Gene Siskel Film Center.
