A father accused in the kidnapping and shooting of his daughter’s romantic rival was found guilty Monday, while a jury cleared his daughter of all charges.

Sunrise residents Rossaine Ann Marie Baker, 39, and Neville Antoney Baker, 67, were tried together in the Oct. 25, 2009 kidnapping and attempted murder of Nicola Brown.

The two women both had children by the same father and were romantic rivals, according to prosecutors, and police said Rossaine Baker was already facing aggravated battery charges against Brown from August 2008 at the time of the kidnapping.
