Viola Davis had a lot to celebrate last night.
Not only was she one of the powerhouse ladies honored at Elle’s Women in Hollywood gala, but she’s also a new mom!
Octavia Spencer actually broke the big news when she was presenting her Help costar with her award, announcing that Davis became a mother “just two days ago.”
During Davis’ acceptance speech, she thanked her husband Julius Tennon and “our new baby Genesis.”
She said of their daughter, ”[She] really is a new beginning.”
