Legendary rap label Rap-A-Lot Records, the home Scarface built, has announced the release of the long awaited 25th Anniversary commemorative project, which will be available as a limited edition on December 6exclusively at Best Buy.
The Box set will include two discs of Rap-A-Lot classics, a DVD featuring interviews with various artists and industry executives and a third CD that features numerous Rap-A-Lot classic records covered by today’s genre defining artists.
The hottest rappers came together to pay homage to the true pioneers and to one of the most significant imprints in the history of rap music.
The album features appearances by Lil Wayne, Birdman, Young Jeezy, Drake, Rick Ross, T.I., Bun B, Big K.R.I.T., Yo! Gotti, Yelawolf, Trey Songz, Slim Thug and more.
Rap-A-Lot was founded in 1986 by J. Prince who put Southern rap on the map by releasing the Geto Boys, the label’s first act. Since then, Rap-A-Lot has carved a perennial mark in the history of independent rap music.
