From NBC Washington:

Police collared a woman in a downtown D.C. hotel, accusing her of peddling unlicensed silicone injections that sent at least one customer to the hospital.

The Washington Examiner first reported that 45-year-old Kimberly Smedley was picked up on October 14 at the JW Marriott.

According to court papers posted on the Smoking Gun, Smedley got on law enforcement’s radar this spring after an exotic dancer in Baltimore was severely sickened.

The woman told investigators that she learned from fellow dancers that Smedley was selling silicone butt injections. The court papers say the witness, hoping to enhance her posterior, contacted Smedley and arranged for several rounds of injections in the winter of 2011. For $1000, the witness said she received nine injections into each buttock. The procedures allegedly happened in a Baltimore hotel.
