On The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell Thursday night, Ginger White, the Georgia woman who claims she carried on a 13-year sexual affair with Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, talked about their relationship, and apologized to Cain’s wife, Gloria.
After initially declining to answer O’Donnell’s question about what she would say to Gloria Cain, White asked to revise that statement, saying she had been ‘taken aback” by the question, since she had never been asked it before. Saying she was “deeply sorry” for the affair, White said she never meant to hurt anyone

“My heart bleeds for this woman because I am a woman and being in a situation like this cannot be fun,” White said. “And I am deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any hurt to her and to his kids, to his family. I never wanted to hurt anyone and I’m deeply sorry.”
The admission came during a riveting interview during which White described her relationship with Cain as not “romantic,” but one that involved his flying her to various locations beginning in the early 1990s, when Cain was CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. White said the relationship also involved Cain providing her with money — always in cash — to help pay her bills, though she declined to tell MSNBC how much money she allegedly received.
Cain has admitted giving money to White for years without his wife’s knowledge, and he has acknowledged knowing White for more than a dozen years, but he denies the two had a sexual affair.
