A Philadelphia hip hop artist was shot and killed in what police believe was an attempted robbery in East Mount Airy last Friday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The shooting happened at Reuben’s Marc Bar on Stenton Avenue.

The Inquirer reports that John Wilson, better known as Tommy Hill, a member of the RAM Squad, died two days later.

NJ Dad Charged With Killing Daughter in Court Monday

Police say that on Friday around 1:30 a.m., a 36-year-old man was met in the parking lot outside by the bar’s manager after he left the establishment without paying, according to the Inquirer.

Just as the man was about to hand the manager money, authorities say he was approached by three masked gunmen.
