Adele can now add her name to the long list of celebrities who connect with their fans online, as she tweeted for the first time yesterday.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer has been plagued with health problems for most of the year. She is currently recovering from vocal chord surgery that she underwent in Boston last month.
While on the mend, the songstress is making sure that she retains her loyal fan base.
On her Twitter page, Adele has over 2 million followers but until yesterday, never has never posted a personal message.
The singer tweeted to her followers that if the clean water initiative she endorses, Drop4Drop got 10,000 followers, that she would start tweeting.
Hours later, England’s top selling artist tweeted a message of thanks, and posted a photo of herself posing next to a large Beyoncé poster.
Maybe Adele’s shout out will inspire Beyoncé, who also has over 2 million followers, to begin tweeting.
