Most online retailers are making a last mad marketing dash to stoke their holiday sales. Not Tracey Solomon.

The Prospect-Lefferts Gardens entrepreneur knows better than to pretend the wares on her website, Hoseanna, are Christmas presents. She sells an utterly boring — but needed — lineup of products for women, particularly pantyhose and tampons.

“It’s like getting a lump of coal in your stocking,” said Solomon, 40.

Hoseanna’s customers sign up for automatic refills of their orders, which are delivered every two or three months in sleek packaging decorated with the company logo.
