Fresh off of his victory with Dancing with the Stars, NFL star Hines Ward has a cameo in the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, one of the most anticipated movies of 2012.
Grabbing viewers’ attention with its full-throttle use of explosions and chilling background music, the trailer features the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver as a player on Gotham Rogue at the end of the two-minute trailer.
In his cameo, Ward catches a pass and then runs for the end zone completely oblivious that the field is collapsing around him. It starts at the 1:21 mark and ends at 1:30.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Director Christopher Nolan shot scenes for The Dark Knight Rises this past August in Pittsburgh. While shooting, he recruited 10 Steelers players — one of which was Ward — to help with the shoot at Heinz Field. Fans were asked to sit in the stands as extras for the production.
The Dark Knight Rises will open in theatres on July 20, 2012.
