Wendy Williams wants to save the Twinkie from bankruptcy

In response to Hostess filing for bankruptcy on January 11, daytime talk show host Wendy Williams released a public service announcement on wendyshow.com, in which she calls to save the Twinkie, “a golden symbol of the American dream.”

The 87-year-old snack food company just emerged from bankruptcy two years ago, but still can’t shake rising labor costs and the increase in health-conscious consumers. According to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Hostess listed its debt at about $860 million.
