Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle might be uniting for a comedy tour in the near future.

In an interview with New York magazine at the Sundance Film Festival this week, Rock confirmed that he is working on a tour collaboration with Chappelle.

Rock said that he was inspired to do the tour after attending a Jay-Z and Kanye West concert during their Watch The Throne tour.

“I’ve been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour,” Rock told New York magazine’s Vulture blog, commenting on rumors that first popped up last fall. “You know I’m not the hard one,” he continued, obviously referencing Chappelle’s decision to remain M.I.A. for the past few years. “But I’m trying to make that happen. After seeing Kanye and Jay-Z, I was like, ‘Me and Dave should do this.’”

Fans of Chappelle have been fiending for more material from the comedian since he ended his widely successful sketch comedy series Chappelle’s Show in 2006.

If this tour were to indeed happen, the tickets would more than likely sell out at a record pace.
