The Help’s Octavia Spencer looked beautiful in her Tadashi Shoji gown as she accepted the SAG Award for outstanding actress in a supporting role last week. Her secret to the seemingly perfect hourglass figure? “I was not a girl scout but I try to be very prepared. I triple Spanx,” she told Ellen on her daytime talk show. She says she felt so bound by the popular slimming nylons, that she had to cut her night short because she felt so uncomfortable. The Daily Mail reports on the story:
It was a triumphant night for The Help’s Octavia Spencer, but not, it seems, a particularly comfortable one.
The actress, who won a gong for outstanding actress in a supporting role, has revealed she cut short the celebrations because she was being ‘pinched in places I didn’t know possible’ by shape wear.
The 41-year-old star described the awards show preparations as ‘very stressful’ in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, adding that she wore not one but three sets of slimming garments under her stylish Tadashi Shoji gown.
