Shawndell McLeod: Lithonia woman still missing without a trace

Shawndell McLeod, 35, has been missing for five months. Her mother believes that her daughter has been kidnapped from her Lithonia, Georgia home and says that she has a feeling that her daughter is still alive. McLeod went missing without any explanation. There has been no activity on her credit card or cell phone. Her mother became concerned after her daughter missed Sunday night dinner and didn’t show up at work without calling.

When the police were informed a notice was put out for Shawndell’s car. Days later the vehicle was found driven by a man named Ricky Nobles. Nobles managed to get away, but police are in the search for him for questioning. A police officer said that he suspects that someone wants something from this family and wanted Ms. McLeod missing. Suspicions go hand in hand with the fact that Shawndell had confessed to her mother that she feared for her safety and had borrowed a gun from a friend. She had just finished getting out of an abusive relationship at the time of her disappearance. The case remains open and under investigation.
