During a 'Reality Check' segment on his prime-time show 'The O'Reilly Factor', O'Reilly ripped Houston's history of drug abuse and suggested she 'wanted to die'...
Apparently, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has little sympathy for the late R&B icon Whitney Houston. During a ‘Reality Check’ segment on his prime-time show The O’Reilly Factor, O’Reilly ripped Houston’s history of drug abuse and suggested she “wanted to kill herself.” Huffington Post reports:
Bill O’Reilly used some rather harsh words to describe the shocking death of singer Whitney Houston on his Fox News show Monday night.
Houston, who died on Saturday in her hotel room, struggled with drug addiction for the latter part of her life. She infamously told Diane Sawyer that she made “too much money to ever smoke crack,” and detailed her extensive drug use in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. She attempted to stage a few comebacks in recent years, but repeatedly succumbed to her addiction.
O’Reilly described Houston as one of the most successful singers of all time who, like so many pop stars, was an addict. O’Reilly’s main point of the discussion was to describe the danger associated with drugs and criticize those who, according to O’Reilly, advocate for its legalization. He was, however, quite tough on the singer and her addiction.
