Cuba Gooding Jr. recently revealed a pretty amusing (or embarrassing) anecdote about his experience shooting Jerry Maguire back in 1996. While visiting the set, Gooding’s father apparently confronted star Tom Cruise directly about a longstanding rumor regarding his sexuality. Cuba said: ‘He gave Tom Cruise a hug and said, “I love you man. Now seriously, are you gay or not?” The Daily Mail reports:

Cuba Gooding Jr. has revealed he ‘almost fainted’ after his father asked Jerry McGuire co-star Tom Cruise if he was gay.

The 44-year-old actor told Graham Norton in an interview to be aired on Friday night that he was stunned when his dad came out with the very personal question.

Cuba added that he made the decision to ban his father, also called Cuba, from the set of the 1996 movie after the embarrassing incident.
