It’s been 11 years since Aaliyah passed away, but now it appears that fans will finally get to hear some some new music from the songstress. According to music producer Jeffrey “J.Dub” Walker, who previously worked on Aaliyah’s self-titled final album, a new project is on the way, and he will be featured.

Walker tweeted this past Sunday: “Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called “Steady Ground” I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album:)”.

Details are unknown about when this new album will be dropping, but it’s nice to hear that a new entry is underway.

Still beloved by music fans, Aaliyah lost her life in a tragic plane crash in August 2001. She was known for collaborations with artists like R. Kelly, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and DMX. Aaliyah was also a budding actress, appearing in films such as Romeo Must Die and Queen of The Damned.
