Yesterday the R&B singer Usher, fell victim yet another internet celebrity death hoax. Global Associated News announced yesterday that the 33-year-old performer was killed in a car crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The website is known for reporting unverified morbid news and gossip, however the story spread like wildfire.

The “OMG” singer quickly let his fans known that he was alive, and the trending topic of his death was indeed a hoax. To prove his point, Usher tweeted some steamy topless pics of him sweating after a recent workout.

Usher has reportedly signed on to star opposite Robert De Niro and Gael Garcia Bernal as boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in the forthcoming film Hands of Stone. By the looks of the pictures he tweeted, he was getting in shape for his new role.

Earlier this week Usher took to Twitter to reveal some other breaking news, that he and his 18-year-old mentee, Justin Beiber, will be collaborating on a track to be featured on their upcoming albums which will be out this summer. The duo came together for the first time in 2009, when Beiber was 15 years old, for the song “One Time.”
