Matt Fides, a former bodyguard of Michael Jackson, has come forward claiming to be the biological father of the King of Pop’s youngest son “Blanket”. According to Fides, Jackson asked him to be his sperm donor back in 2001, because he wanted an “athletic child.” Ebony reports on the story:

Michael Jackson’s death has brought countless people with varying claims out of the woodwork. The most recent is person to go public with an alleged secret is Jackson’s former bodyguard Matt Fides, who is claiming to be the biological father of Jackson’s son, Blanket.

According to Fides, he says that Jackson had asked him to be a sperm donor in 2001 because Jackson had wanted an “athletic child.” Of course, Fides now would like to play a more central role in Blanket’s life, he says, although he insists that he has no interest in replacing Jackson’s legacy:

“Michael is their father and I do not want that to change, but I want the children back in my life. The only way that’s going to happen is through legal action. I think Blanket is mine but I want final proof.”
