50 Cent has had the social media landscape in a bit of a frenzy over the past couple of days after he tweeted pictures of himself reclining in a hospital bed with an IV in his arm. The head of G-Unit did not specify what was ailing him at the time, but DJ Drama told XXL.com last week that the rapper had recently come down with a stomach virus. “First they wanted to keep it quiet, but he’s not a quiet guy,” Drama said. 50 Cent aroused concern from fans in the Twittersphere yesterday when he revealed he had checked into a hospital. The G-Unit general didn’t specify what was ailing him, but tweeted photos of himself reclining in a hospital bed with an IV in his arm.
Late Wednesday DJ Drama, who has been working with Fif on a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape, told XXL.com that the rapper and mogul had come down with a stomach virus.
“First they wanted to keep it quiet, but he’s not a quiet guy,” Drama said. “He should be cool. It’s nothing that serious. We still gonna do our promo run stuff [Thursday].”
In a tweet earlier this morning, 50 said his condition had improved and he wouldn’t be hospitalized much longer.
