The classic gospel song “His Eye is on the Sparrow” is performed by Houston, where she makes a triumphant return to her Gospel roots, in a moving scene from the film. There wasn’t a dry eye on set after that scene was shot.

According to Bishop TD Jakes, who helped produce the film “she delivered it with such conviction that it was a very touching moment in the filming of the movie. She just left such a deep impression on everybody.”
