NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving developed his own clever concept for a high-profile new Pepsi MAX ad. He endured hours of make-up to be transformed into an old man — ‘Uncle Drew’ — and then showed up at a street basketball game to school the ‘youngins’. Check out the video below. USA Today reports:

Kyrie Irving is not only the NBA Rookie of the Year, he’s an auteur.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star wrote, directed and starred in “Uncle Drew” a short film for Pepsi MAX.

Irving pokes fun at his generation of players and street ballers (while also providing an homage) with his uncle Drew character at Clark’s Pond Courts in Bloomfield, N.J.
