Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was rumored to have walked off the set of her new TV show Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse, the media mogul’s TBS comedy. Still dealing with the death of her mother, Brown quit the show a few weeks ago, according to sources. The exit would have come after Brown had already filmed a few episodes of the show, which is set to air its second season in July. For his part, Perry has come out to deny the reports.

“NOT TRUE AT ALL PEOPLE!!! There is no way that she could have walked off the set because we have finshed [sic] taping the season,” the director posted on Faceboook.

The role for Brown was announced less than a month ago. “She thought she was ready for this, but she wasn’t,” one unidentified source told RadarOnline.

The sources added that Brown walked off the set quietly and in tears; hardly anyone even noticed.

“Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it,” the source said. “She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn’t handle doing the show right now. She’s still mourning her mom.”

Brown is still filming her other reality show The Houston Family Chronicles, which will air on Lifetime, but the stress and work is reportedly becoming taxing on the young actress. The Lifetime reality show features Brown along with other members of her extended family, such as Cissy Houston.

If Brown did leave, the TBS show has a bit of a dilemma. Her absence would force writers of the show to dramatically change the show’s script to explain the departure of Brown’s character.

“She is confused right now,” another source said. “She is not prepared to live without her mom.”

Tyler Perry strongly refutes this version of the events.

“Were there tough days for her? Yes of course. Not because of the actng [sic] or any job-related issues but because of the fact that she had just lost her mother. And being someone who knows about losing their mother, I know grief comes in different ways and you never know when it’s going to hit you or how it’s going to hit you, for that matter. Some days you’re smiling and happy and some days you’re so broken that you can’t stop crying. So yes she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time,” he said on Facebook.

Perry added, “PLEASE LEAVE THIS BABY ALONE!!!! AND SHE IS A BABY!!! Please stop the lies and give this child some room to breathe and grieve.
