Usher’s fans will reportedly have the opportunity to join the R&B star on stage during his performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on June 11th with customized digital dancers. This new technology allows for digitized images to be seen live on stage side by side with artists. These virtual dancers have been created by the Montreal company Moment Factory. The Canadian company has worked with other artists on similar technology including Madonna’s Super Bowl performance in January but Usher may be the first artist to bring digital images of his fans to the stage.

Hamish Hamilton, a Grammy and BAFTA Award nominated British director, who is best known for directing concert videos and award shows will be directing the project. The concert is part of the American Express Unstaged series that partners recording artists with high-profile directors. The concert will be streamed live on Usher’s VEVO channel, VEVO is the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform.
