NBC Philadelphia – The Philadelphia Police have arrested a suspect in the SEPTA sex assault that occurred last month.

Joseph Woods, 41, was arrested on June 14. He was identified after surveillance video was aired on various local newscasts, according to police.

The alleged attack happened on May 26 around 9 p.m. after the 21-year-old victim got off the SEPTA Broad Street Line at Lehigh Avenue. The woman told police that the suspect put a knife against her stomach and forced her into a nearby parking lot then sexually assaulted her.
