A 7-year-old boy, Aaris Conway, from Lancaster, California was found hanging from a tree in his backyard. The boy’s mother says he was climbing the tree when he got caught in his karate belt trying to jump down. “He wanted to come outside to play basketball,” Aaris’s mother Evelyn Briggs said. “Then he climbs in the tree that [the neighborhood kids] all climb in and tragically hung himself.” KLTA has the story:
Detectives are investigating the death of a young boy who was found hanging from his tree in his backyard.
The accident happened along the 1000 block of Angela Court in East Lancaster on Friday evening.
Aaris Conway’s mother says the 7-year-old was climbing the tree and got caught up in his karate belt when he tried to jump down.
