NBC Chicago reports a local food pantry scheduled to make a big delivery Wednesday no longer has its new food truck to transport it.
Mother Jones Food Pantry purchased the truck just 10 days before it was stolen Friday from the parking lot in the 700 block of West 120th Street, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Pastor Virgil Jones told the Sun-Times he discovered the truck missing after he returned from a delivery using his personal vehicle. He said the 16-foot box truck was stolen at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
