Joss Stone introduced fans to her new album Soul Sessions Volume 2 last night at New York City’s Highline Ballroom. A natural on stage, Stone has been performing since the age of 15, as she so eloquently told the audience in song. Stone performed barefooted, as per usual, and avoided the traditional costume changes and dramatics that often bog down other artists.

Stone is all about the music. The relationship between herself, her musicians and backup singers is undeniably supportive. You saw them choking up with her or excited at the same moments as the young ‘blue-eyed soul’ singer.

Stone appealed to her hardcore fans by playing songs from her previous albums (she took requests towards the end) as well as the new album, which is set to release on July 31.
