NBC Chicago- A Dixmoor man was ordered held in lieu of $2 million bail Saturday for allegedly beating his teenage daughter to death in a Dolton motel while high on drugs.
Larry D. Woods, 34, told police he was high on marijuana and PCP when he beat his 16-year-old daughter, Gloria Woods, in an argument over money, according to Dolton police spokeswoman TaQuoya Kennedy. The girl had been visiting her father for the weekend.
A housekeeper at the Best Motel & Suites in the 1300 block of East Sibley Boulevard in Dolton discovered the girl covered in blood inside one of the hotel rooms on Wednesday and notified police.
