More changes are coming to American Idol judge’s panel. Now, rumor has it Randy Jackson might make his exit next, while Mariah Carey is being courted to fill one of the panel’s vacancies. The Huffington Post reports:

It’s been quite a week in “American Idol” news, and a few other big changes may be headed to the Fox singing competition show.

According to Us Weekly, Mariah Carey is in talks to join the judges panel, while Randy Jackson may be stepping down. “They are in serious talks with Mariah and it’s very close to being a done deal,” a source told Us. “And they will move Randy into a more mentoring role.”

On Thursday, Steven Tyler officially stepped down after two years on “Idol.”

“After some long … hard … thoughts … I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,” the Aerosmith singer said in a statement. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back — but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”
