Kevin Durant and LeToya Luckett Dating: Picture of pair allegedly on a date sets the web abuzz

Kevin Durant and LeToya Luckett have been snapped eating dinner together recently in Las Vegas. Of course that has the black blogosphere buzzing. Inquiring minds want to know: are we witnessing the birth of a new black celebrity couple?

“This past year, we’ve watched Kevin Durant make a huge come-up as the new sensation in the NBA while playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder,” urban news outlet Global Grind breathlessly reported about the discovery of the two casually grabbing a bite. “The 23-year-old baller has kept his love life off the public radar, but he’s finally been caught!”

If “caught” means having your picture taken with a lovely young woman, Durant is certainly guilty of that. While there is no confirmation regarding whether the pretty R&B star and baller are officially dating, that has not stopped multiple sites from gabbing about what this image may mean:

“It looks as though singer Letoya Luckett might be making her way off of the market,” stated uber-popular black celebrity blog Necole Bitchie about the former Destiny’s Child member. Luckett has been known to keep her love life very private, so any evidence of her coupling with someone has set celeb-watchers frothing.

Of their dinner chat at The Wynn in Sin City, writer Robert Littal conjectured: “Depending on your definition of ‘dating,’ KD and Letoya Luckett could be seen as a couple, but I don’t think it is as serious as some of are making it out to be.”

Only time will tell what the truth behind this photo is, but based on Durant’s previous Tweet about the R&B cutie, it might be a safe bet to guess he is very interested.

In a tweet dated December 24, 2011, Durant responded to a question regarding his preferred dating partner by stating: “Hmm @LeToyaLuckett RT @Holycow_cee:@KDTrey5 what celebrity would you go on a date with ?”

Tweeting at Luckett on Christmas Eve? Very interesting. This photo certainly makes their relationship — in whatever form it may be — seem to be moving in a concrete direction.
