Barbara Walters rejected George Zimmerman's interview demands

George Zimmerman was going to be interviewed by Barbara Walters, but apparently the shooter of Trayvon Martin demanded the network to pay for a hotel room for a month in order for him to agree to a sit-down. Walters and ABC weren’t having any of it. The Huffington Post reports Walter and ABC News made it clear that the network did not pay for interviews and backed out.

Barbara Walters reportedly rejected demands allegedly made by Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman in exchange for an interview, the New York Post said on Thursday.

The Post reported that Walters traveled down to Florida with the intention of interviewing Zimmerman, but walked away after he requested that ABC get him a hotel room for a month. Walters was reportedly not competing for the first interview with Zimmerman — he had already granted his exclusive first chat to Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
