Murderer who stuffed woman’s body in a suitcase sentenced to 20 years in prison

Hassan Malik has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2010 murder of a woman in Harlem. Malik admitted to stuffing the women’s body in a suitcase and placed the luggage on a Harlem street. The New York Post reports:

Ex-con Hassan Malik was sentenced to 20 years in prison yesterday for admittedly murdering a woman, stuffing her body into a suitcase, and then rolling the luggage out to a Harlem street and abandoning it in 2010.

“I apologize to the family of Betty Williams, for what happened,” Malik, 57, sobbed as he was sentenced by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon.
