Logan West, once a victim of bullying, has been crowned Miss Teen USA.  The Connecticut teen overcame bullying to take the title.  She started a school program called Best Buddies to help other students who are victims of bullying.  The Daily Mail has the story:

Connecticut teen Logan West overcame bullying to take home the Miss Teen U.S.A. crown at a pageant in the Bahamas last night.

The 18-year-old brunette, from Southington, beat 15 other finalists in the ceremony, where hopefuls were quizzed on topics ranging from Penn State’s recent NCAA sanctions to plastic surgery and the Colorado shootings.

A recent Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts graduate, Ms West admitted to being bullied at school and, at 14, started a program to combat bullying. She named this as her greatest accomplishment.
