Mavs' Dirk Nowitzki weds Jessica Olsson

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki is a married man — for real, this time.

The 34-year-old NBA star wed his Kenyan-born girlfriend, Jessica Olsson, 31. The marriage took place July 20th at Nowitzki’s home in Dallas’ upscale Preston Hollow neighborhood — not in a traditional ceremony in Kenya, as previous, and erroneous, blog reports stated.

A Dallas Mavericks spokesman shot down those early reports, but it appears that this time, the marriage is a fact. The marriage was confirmed by the man who performed it:  State District Judge Craig Smith, according to the Associated Press.

Smith also revealed the honeymoon location: “somewhere in the Caribbean,” and that the couple plan to tie the knot again, in a ceremony for family members.
