Timbaland confirms 2 new Missy Elliott tracks coming Labor Day weekend

Missy Elliott fans have been in serious withdrawal since she largely disappeared from the music scene after her 2005 release The Cookbook.

We later learned a rare and potentially fatal disease had sidelined the iconic hip-hop diva and taken a toll on her health. But never fear, Missy is on the comeback trail.

According to her frequent producer and collaborator Timbaland, the 41-year-old female rapper will drop two new singles (called “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat”) over Labor Day weekend.

Timbaland broke the news on Twitter. “Watch it world we backk!!” he tweeted.
