Derrick Rose ‘prays’ Chicago teachers strike ends soon

Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose has weighed in on the current teacher’s strike affecting more than 350,000 students in his native city. Rose first tweeted Monday that he hoped Chicago Public Schools reached a deal ‘soon’ because kids need to be in school.

Rose, who starred at Simeon Career Academy on Chicago’s South Side, is in the midst of rehabbing from a season-ending  ACL injury. He followed up on Tuesday with more tweets expressing sadness Chicago is going through a strike which leaves kids out of school.
