Soul music superstar Adele is rumored to be the potential voice behind the theme song of the highly anticipated James Bond film Skyfall. The new 007 movie, which stars James Bond as the suave British super spy is due to open this November. The Huffington Post has more:

If it seems like rumors about Adele recording a new James Bond theme have been knocking around since 2008, that’s because they have: The British singer was rumored to be in the running to record the theme for “The Quantum of Solace” before losing that honor to Alicia Keys and Jack White.

Now, however, according to a new report in the U.K. tabloid The Sun, Adele may very well sing the theme for “Skyfall.” She was apparently seen heading into Abbey Road studios in England, the same place that composer Thomas Newman is working on the score for the Bond film.

Should Adele actually record the Bond theme, it wouldn’t be a total surprise. Back in September of 2011, Adele told British talk show host Jonathan Ross that she was planning to record one song before the end of 2011, and that it would be “a theme.”
