In her latest novel, Ni-Ni Simone (also known as Essence bestselling author Tu-Shonda L. Whitaker), delivers another hilarious and emotional teen novel. No Boyz Allowed follows 16-year-old Gem, who has been tossed about from foster home to foster home. In her new family, Gem seems to have finally found a real home, but she knows better than to trust anyone for too long. History has taught her that trust usually ends up in disappointment or worse. But maybe this time will be different.
